These Terms & Conditions govern your use of estatewatch.co.za (the “Website”). EstateWatch™ is operated by Johan C Whelan (“EstateWatch”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By using the Website, you agree to these Terms.

1. What EstateWatch provides

EstateWatch provides estate-planning education, awareness content, guided self-assessment tools, and opportunities to request a consultation. The Website is designed to help you identify questions worth discussing with appropriately qualified professionals.

2. Important professional-advice notice

Website content, tools, scores, checklists, guides and responses are general information only. They are not legal, tax, financial, investment, insurance, fiduciary or accounting advice, and they are not a substitute for advice tailored to your circumstances. Using the Website does not create an attorney-client, adviser-client, fiduciary or other professional relationship.

You remain responsible for decisions about your estate. Consult a suitably qualified South African professional before signing, changing or relying on a will, trust deed, beneficiary nomination, financial product, tax decision or other estate-planning document.

3. Estate Risk Analysis and other tools

Any Estate Risk Analysis, questionnaire result, score or related output is an educational indication based on the information you provide. It is not a prediction, legal opinion, audit, valuation, guarantee or recommendation, and it cannot assess every fact or change in the law. Please check your answers carefully and discuss material issues with a qualified professional.

Do not submit passwords, PINs, bank-card details, identity-document copies, complete will copies, medical records or other highly sensitive documents through a public web form unless we have specifically arranged a secure method with you.

4. Acceptable use

You may use the Website for lawful, personal and non-commercial purposes. You may not:

• use the Website in a way that is unlawful, misleading, harmful or disruptive;
• interfere with the Website’s security or operation, attempt unauthorised access, or introduce malicious code;
• copy, republish, sell or exploit substantial Website content without written permission; or

Unless stated otherwise, the original text, design, graphics, guides and other Website material are owned by Johan C Whelan or used with permission. EstateWatch™ and related branding are used as trade identifiers for this Website. No right or licence is granted except the limited right to view the Website for its intended purpose.

The Website may link to third-party websites or use third-party service providers. Those parties operate under their own terms and privacy notices. We do not control, endorse or accept responsibility for their content, availability or practices.

7. Security and fraud awareness

Use the contact details shown on this Website to verify communications that concern your estate, a payment or personal information. EstateWatch will not ask you to send passwords, PINs or full payment-card details by email, SMS or social-media message.
